Hey folks, i know, i know i’m a bad blogger. But i did decide to have some fun with this post. Just having fun with some wedding cake shots for this post. Hungry for some cake?

Hi folks, i know it has been sometime since my last post but changes will be coming soon. What is in the works is a new website and maybe a color scheme change for the blog. Also i will be moving my site to a diferent server in the next couple of weeks, so to make my life a bit simpler the shopping cart has been shut down until then. Updates to the blog will also be slow until the move and new site is up and running. And i sure hope i can get everything up and running.
In the mean time head on over to facebook and let’s become friends.
Hey gang, I hope you guys are doing well. As most of my clients get a high resolution DVD I just wanted to provide you guys with this news article. As you know the copyright of the images belongs to Christos Hountas and the clients have a personal use right to the images. This is not because i want to be a hard ass but rather to protect you and the news article illustrates what could happen.
Here is what i recommend, do NOT post the high resolution images anywhere on the Internet, this includes facebook, myspace, flicker and your own personal blogs. Think before you post any of your own personal images as well. As you noticed on my blog, the images are of low resolution quality and it includes a watermark to make it harder for image theft. If you decide to post one of my bloged images you are free to do so, but please do not crop out the watermark. It is there for a reason.
Feel free to read the article.

Hey party people how have you all been. I know I have disappeared off the blog land but it has been one hell of a busy season thus far and the posts are far behind. So just to bring you guys up to speed besides shooting some killer long Island weddings I’ve been designing a bunch of killer albums. Not only that but I’m in heavy post production of this years weddings as well. Like that is not enough i’m working on a version of Photography By Christos website that i’m hoping will rock your words. That will be launched soon but have no idea when. So for now here is a take on a bridal party image from my last wedding.
This image was taken on our way to The Metropolitan

Hi folks I hope everyone is doing well. I just wanted to take a moment and inform you of my availability and scheduling for Greek baptisms that will be taking place this year. If you are a return client please contact me so I can inform you of my open dates that I currently have. I will only be taking on a handful of new clients for baptisms in the fall / winter of 2009. If you have any questions I’m only an e-mail or phone call away.
The entire product line has been revamped this year as well, I still carry a limited selection of matted albums and the only choice are leather covers. The new product line includes coffee table magazine and photo books, including flush mount albums in a storybook or stand alone image format. If you are interested in pricing please feel free in contacting me.
Hey just moved my blog to a different directory so you can ignore this but please update any bookmarks.
Hey gang now that we can stop hibernating and since it’s officially spring time let’s get the ball rolling for the engagement sessions. I’m really looking forward to meeting all you guys again so let’s start scheduling them. And yes, i still have a bunch of weddings to blog about so I’m going to try and get them up here as soon as possible.
later, Christos
Hi folks, I know it has been some time since my last post I have been working on a ton of stuff. Besides all the clients orders that are currently being worked and finish up a string of baptisms. Here is a list of some of the backoffice stuff being worked on.
I believe you get the idea, so hopefully I will be getting around to posting some weddings images that I have shot over the last few months.

Hi folks I know it has been some time since I last updated the blog, it has been stupid busy. I have been working on editing the last images from last years weddings, designing a bunch of albums that happened to all come in at the same time and also working on a new website and blog (have no idea when that will go live).
Once again this wonderful day of love has come upon us. We all are secretly planning on how to share this wonderful day with our significant other. And others are all nervous, panicking and wondering if the planned proposal will go off without a hitch. Don’t sweat if, if she loves ya she will say yes. So to all those couples that will be getting engaged today congratulations it’s your day to shine, go out and enjoy it.
As with every valentines day, I am officially opening my 2010 calendar and accepting bookings.
Have fun boys and girls.

Out with the old and in with the new, hello 2009. Hi friends, I hope that all of you enjoyed New Years with your friends and families, I know I sure did.
This past year I had the opportunity to make a lot of new friends and I’m extremely grateful. That is what makes this job so enjoyable, the interactions with the couples, getting to know each one on a personal bases and for the opportunity to capture some amazing images for them that will last a lifetime.
As we have embarked on our journeys for 2009, I would like to wish you and your families a happy and healthy new year. And to this years brides, I will see you guys real soon.

To all my wonderful friends, in an effort to go a bit green this year and do my part in saving a small part of the environment. I have decided to post my holiday wishes for you guys here instead of mailing out cards.
I would like to thank each and everyone of you for making this past year a huge success. I’ve had the opportunity to share many special moment with many wonderful couples and their family and friends. It was a pleasure getting to know all of you so without writing a thesis, I would like to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year.

It’s not a lie Murphy and I are not friends. Within the past 10 days I have lost internet access, my office phone line and I’m still plauged by sporatic e-mail problems. It’s like I only have client orders to get out and he knows it..

I believe that it’s time for another before and after image. I’m not a huge fan of overly processed images, i’m kind of a purist in a way and I do prefer a good black and white anyway.
I would like to share with you an image that was captured at my last wedding that was held at Glen Island Harbor Club. The first image is the image that is straight out of my camera, for those that are interested I shoot all my images flat in camera. As you can see the image exposure is spot on, and most likely go straight to proofing with some minor adjustments. The second image is a finished image after some minor editing work and is how it would look in the album and enlargments if selected.
After some editing work done on the image.
