Q: What sort of photography style do you shoot in?
A: My style of photography is a mix between traditional and photojournalism, leaning more towards photojournalism, I attempt to capture that special moment while staying out of the way of you and your guests.
A: Photojournalism is unobtrusive photography that focuses primarily on the candid moments of a wedding. We do not interrupt, nor run the wedding; but document the event as it happens.
Q: What type of equipment do you use?
A: I use professional digital cameras and lenses manufactured by Nikon.
Q: Do you have any backup equipment?
A: Yes, I have a complete backup of everything including batteries and additional camera lenses. My backup camera is also a professional digital camera manufactured my Nikon.
Q: I heard that digital photographs don't last as long as normal photographs, is this true?
A: To a degree this is true. However, our lab uses our digital files and makes real Photographs on Fuji Professional Crystal/Archive paper and or Kodak Professional Endura paper. They are guaranteed for life. We never deliver any photographs made on a consumer ink jet printer, these type of photographs printed on an inkjet printer will fade over time.
Q: What are some of the advantages of shooting digital photography?
A: A few of the advantages of Digital photography are:
Having 100% control over things like color control, contrast, density and cropping. We can make any and all corrections at our office after the wedding.
Having instant feedback while taking the images. This helps for better quality control while taking the images.
Digital allows us to convert any of your color images to black and white, including adding special effects to you final picture.
A: You can certainly pay your full event coverage fee at the time you return a signed contract. However, we understand that a payment plan can be of added value and convenience to our customers. If you choose to pay in installments, as stated in our contract, we ask that 25% of the total coverage fee is paid at the time of the contract signing. This amount is a nonrefundable retainer that assures that we reserve the date for your wedding and or event and any other inquiry for that date is refused. The second payment of 50% of the total cost is due 45 days before the wedding, with the final 25% due on the day the proofs are delivered. We accept cash, personal checks and money orders. We do not provide a credit card payment option at this time.
Q: Do you photograph any posed formal pictures or work from a shot list?
A: Usually no, this allows you more time to be with your guests and enjoy your event. We’re happy to work with you on the formal and group shots that you may want.
Q: What if I want an item that is not included on your pricing list?
A: If you don't see an item in our pricing list that you'd like us to include or get for you, please don't hesitate to call us at 718-554-3122 or email us at info@photographybychristos.com and let us know, if you wish you can also use our contact form on our website.
Q: How do we reserve a date, can you hold it for us? What is your policy?
A: It is a strictly first-come, first-serve policy. Because of multiple inquiries for certain dates in peak season, we found it was too difficult to notify couples when somebody else was interested in the same date. A deposit and signed contract will be required to book the date in advance.
Q: How many pictures do we receive of our wedding?
A: You should expect about 500+ pictures of your wedding. Depending on your package, you’ll get a proof book of the entire event including all edited images. A website for online ordering is also included.
Q: How many hours do you work?
A: Our packages include a generous amount of allocated time (10 hours) to cover most if not your event in it entirety.
