Greek Brides: View a Wedding Photographers Proofs

Photography By Christos, NY Greek Wedding Photographer

So I’m probably going to get a lot of heat for this from other photographers, but it’s time to separate the boys from the men and the girls from the ladies.

Ok Greek bides here is the deal, and this comes from a wedding photographer. As of late, the weeding market has been flooded with wedding photographers. And with that come’s a lot of bad wedding photographs.

When you interview photographers and you like ones style, don’t only look at the finished wedding album as an indication of the photographer’s ability. Any photographer can perfect 50 -80 images out of a 1000 pictures for a final wedding album. The final pictures that you are viewing probably have been heavily edited to look there best, and that is fine that is what a professional wedding photographer should do anyway.

You should also ask the photographer to show you a complete set of proofs from the same or different wedding. Either the photographer should provide you with a set of 4×6 paper proofs to view at the studio or a password to one of his or hers past clients on-line proofing gallery, so you can view them from your home. This will give you a better indication of the photographer’s style and technical ability in capturing your wedding day.
This is especially true for Greek brides why, well the Greek wedding ceremony is filled with traditions that need to be captured, the rings, the stefana, the ceremonial walk. In a Greek wedding there is no second chance, you need this pictures. I’m sure you get my point.

By viewing a complete set of proofs you will be able to judge a wedding photographers true style and his or hers technical ability. Keep in mind that most wedding packages include paper proofs or high resolution DVD’s. Since these are yours don’t you also want them to look just as beautiful?

As you view the photographers proofs, keep in mind that these are still proofs and not the final images, the final images will and should look much better then proofs.

Well I hope you found this helpful, so let me share with you one of my favorite images from this past weekends Greek wedding. More pictures are to follow.
